ORLANDO FLORIDA - GOOD MIDWAY POINT FOR THE BEACH

Using the Bahama Bay Resort near Orlando as our resting place, we were able to enjoy Clearwater Beach (less than a 2 hour drive IF it isn't during Spring Break) and Daytona Beach (less than a 1 hour drive). Both of these beaches are fantastic and each has its own charm.

Clearwater Beach for a day, known for its white sand, great shelling and awesome sunsets is a great beach to kick back, soak up the rays and enjoy the breezes. And, there are many things to do off the beach, with one of them visiting Pier 60. Go in the early evening because that is when the street shows start and the vendors are out by the dozens.

Daytona Beach for a day is so different from Clearwater Beach. It is unique with it firm sand, great people watching and fantastic shops and restaurants up and down the

beach. The best thing about Daytona Beach and that you could drive on it. Take full advantage of that because there are not many beaches that allow cars.

So, if you have an extended weekend, and want to go to the Orlando area but do not want to go to the parks, I would suggest the beaches. They are awesome!

Grand Turks is Grand

WELCOME TO GRAND TURK!

A beautiful place to visit. The beach is wonderful and the water is a beautiful blue. This was the sunrise that we saw from our balcony as we were docking in Grand Turk.

We visited Captian Jacks place (Jack's Shack) which is within walking distance of the pier where our Carnival Ship, the Destiny was docked for the day. We had a blast on the 2 man boats and saw many fish while we snorkeled!

Enjoy these pictures. I enjoyed being there for the day!
